Five good things that happened this week.
1. Spent a wonderful afternoon with the Brother and his family. The Brother cooked a wonderful late lunch, and I made bow cookies, my grandmother's signature cookie.
2. The Nephew and his wife brought me a welcome bit of Springtime. I brought the tulips home and put them in the Headless Chickie candy dish sometimes yarn bowl.
3. The Power Wall was installed and it works.
4. I was supposed to meet Nan to see Little Women, but Nan hurt her knee so we Skyped instead.
5. I was shy a stamp on a mail art envelope I was sending and had forgotten to bring extra stamps with me just in case there wasn't enough postage. The clerk, S, offered to give me one of the stamps out of her own pocket. She's so kind. I declined telling her she'd go broke if she supplied stamps to patrons that didn't have the correct postage. I bought a sheet of stamps.
How was your week?
You had another nice week. That tulip plant is lovely. And you'll be able to plant it outside in the Spring, so that it blooms again every year. That was nice of the post office clerk. (It also reminds me I might need to buy a sheet of stamps, because I think my supply is running low.)
ReplyDeleteThey still can't make up their mind about this weekend's forecast. I'm hoping their latest one of all rain for here in CT is right. ("Northern Hills" of CT might get snow and sleet, but rain for the rest of us.)
Last I heard, all of Southern New England is getting rain, sometimes heavy.
DeleteSounds good. Hope Nan's knee is soon better. Nice lady in the post! The tulips are gorgeous. Valerie
ReplyDeleteI hope Nan's knee is better soon, too. She's supposed to be running a half marathon in Dingle, Ireland in September
DeleteNice week. I haven't heard much about the Little Woman movie but it has been out for awhile so it must be pretty good. I've been busy wrapping up classes and squeezing in some art time. Happy Friday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteAnd getting ready for your Feb. vacation adventure?
DeleteI look forward to these posts. Beautiful flower.

DeleteRestarted taking daily vitamins. Feel better. Did some illumination work - images from the Gladsor Armenian Gospels. Also, a few White Vine letters to send to friends, and painted several Valentine's Day cards. Beginning work on a Easter card. Still working out lettering and design.
ReplyDeleteI need to think about Valentine's Cards. I like the new heart stamp that came out this week.
DeleteBeautiful tulip! And think how lovely it will look in your garden next year! :D (good week too!)
ReplyDeleteIf the bunnies don't eat the bulbs! 😺
DeleteWhat a wonderful week filled with pleasant interactions :) Those tulips are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are a bright spot of color as out the window there's still snow on the ground
DeleteMy week has gone in a blur!
ReplyDeleteHad lots of things that needed sorting, which I managed to do and are now looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
You've had a good week and I just love those tulips :)
Out and about today I spotted some snowdrops and early daffodils in bloom, I should have got out of the car and taken a photograph.
Wishing you a good weekend.
All the best Jan
This whole month has gone by so fast!
DeleteI loved the tulips. Great gift. Glad the power wall works. You are too sweet to buy the sheet of stamps, but that's how you are, dear. You treat others the way they would want to be treated.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about Nan. We miss her.
I try to get Nan back to blogging, but...
DeleteSounds like a fabulous week! I'm loving the little chicky with the flowers - adorable 😁. I hope Nan is recovering ok, glad you got to Skype. We've had a busy week visiting family and looking into getting a new bathroom suite - yay! Happy weekend! Hugs, Jo x
