New Neighbors

Looks like we'll be getting some new neighbors soon. The cardinal pair have been visiting the honeysuckle vine.

I think they are scouting the location to build their first nest of the season as they did last year. They have been taking turns hanging out in the vine for 10 to 15 minutes at a time.

    1. Last year when they built their nest, they built it so I couldn't see into it to get a picture of the eggs and babies

  2. Those are the best kind of neighbors. No loud pets or loud music. Well, maybe loud birdsongs. Happy Thursday. Hugs-Erika

  10. I love when the backyad birds build their nests for me to see - it has only happened twice - the stellars jays. It was situated where I could see out my bedroom window which is downstairs vs upstairs - and the underside of the deck upstairs ..i can see from my window and watch them use a bracing board to build their nest on.
