Blogger wants a backwards story this week. Okay.
Inside, Concordia, the daughter Peace Lily plant has bloomed along with
a bumper crop of cherry tomatoes and lettuce
Above freezing temperatures and some sun this week has nearly melted the snow off the main solar array.
The snow is completely clear from the Western array
The camera didn't capture the fog rising off the snow pack
More frozen tear
Sunny, but cold didn't stop Elvis from dancing by the highway
Looks like a flying saucer has landed in the middle of the polar ice caps
36 oF. outside with a feels like temperature of 72 oF (to the left of the 36). Harvey, the weather station is wishful thinking warm weather just like me.
Leagues of lamentations
More light snow
On the sunny days we've had, Brindle spent their time soaking up the warm sun and the heat from the air circulator.
How does your garden grow?
So lovely to see your peace lily flowering, ours is too! I know that you won't agree but it looks so pretty with the blanket of white snow ❄️. The little bunny is super cute and looks so snuggly keeping warm. Happy Sunday! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteIt's hard not to rush out to try to snuggle with Brindle
DeleteSnow.....blehh!!! Smart bunny though! ;)
ReplyDeleteNo flies on Brindle. 😺
DeleteEnjoyed the post - first off...who and what is Elvis doing out there, lol...and good about melting snow. Brindle is cute - I dont' get rabbits up here but I did at my house down the mountain. I loved when they came around. Your weather sounds so cold ...we are having a cold windy day again today - these winds ..ack...!! keep me from getting out.
ReplyDeleteElvis is a dancing advertisement for some business. Insurance, tax accountant. Not sure what, but people around town have said they enjoy his show. We had a few warm days. Teasers. Today rain. Tues. the temps are supposed to plummet and we must be getting your wind because the cold temp plus wind chill will make it feel below zero on Tues. I hibernate during the Winter 🐻
Deletesnow tomorrow here i think but not much.
DeleteYou have an Elvis? How cute! Is he naked come Spring/Summer? Down to 4C here, brrr. Grey, icky.
ReplyDeleteI think Elvis started his job in the Fall. We'll have to wait until the warmer weather to see if he changes his costume
DeleteP.S. Love your happy - lucky - background!
ReplyDeleteNew or am I blind?!
The background changes on the first of each month according to the season/holiday
DeleteIt is so wonderful to see your peace lily blooming! What a beautiful plant. The cherry tomatoes and lettuce are a cheerful sight for the cold month of February. Brindle is very smart to find a warm spot on a sunny day. Spring is coming!
ReplyDeleteI hope Spring arrives sooner than later.
DeleteI took yesterday off from commenting, but I am glad I went back to this post. Elvis dancing had me laughing. It reminded me of one who showed up at my cousin's wedding at the old Sheridan in Auburn and sat on my grandmother's lap. And wow, you have so many cherry tomatoes. I think your husband's garden was a success! Enjoy the rain while it stays warm. Happy March.
ReplyDeleteElvis showing up at the wedding must have been a hoot
DeleteYou have Elvis! What's he doing way up there? Oh, wait, I see from other comments he's part of an ad campaign. Fun :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Elvis seems to really enjoy his job.
DeleteBrrr that snow definitely makes me feel cold!
ReplyDeleteLove your Peace Lily plant :)
All the best Jan
And an artic blast coming through, too
DeleteAren't YOU lucky. My poinsettia died a not so slow death, but your peace lily is looking incredible. And you didn't think you had a green thumb!
ReplyDeleteThankfully, the peace lily doesn’t need much care and when I forget to water it, it looks sad and lets me know, plants need water, man
DeleteGo Elvis! LOL! Still looks very cold where you are! Give bunny a hug from me! LOL!
ReplyDeleteToday was especially 🥶
DeleteWonderful assortment of photos, even if it does look cold. I think we're approaching the light at the end of the tunnel, though. Soon, soon...
