Such an interesting concept and you made a great list! Only 12 of the ingredients that you have listed would make it on my list ...lol 😉 ...so I'd have to get my thinking cap on and make some substitutions. Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteIt was a hard choice. Like should I choose olive oil instead of butter? Which is more versatile?
DeleteCoffee ☕ is missing from the list! Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteNo one in the household drinks coffee, and I'm the only one that drinks tea
DeleteTea
ReplyDeleteOn the list at #16
DeleteYou don't need to list yeast -- you can get it out of the air with some flour and water. That is, make a starter! Otherwise it looks like a sensible list.
ReplyDeletebe safe... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I've tried to make a starter, but didn't have success with it or the baking.
DeleteI think we all eat the same things over and over.....at least that's what my father used to complain about....lol. ;)
ReplyDelete😺
DeleteYikes! I'm glad I don't have to come up with that list. Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteIt was a hard choice.
DeleteInteresting list making- I'd have to really think about that but it def. would be vegetarian;) Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested in your list
DeleteOnly 11 of your list would make it on mine. And by now you know I would substitute coffee for tea and 1/2 and 1/2 for milk (grin). I like the obviously clever and unique take on this week's T Tuesday post, though CJ.
ReplyDeleteI thought it would be a fun game
DeleteHow interesting. My list would be similar to yours, but i might have to squeeze in olive oil and wine in there. I could substitute the butter with olive oil but the wine? That might have to go in stead of the carrots (I'm not giving up chocolate!)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am really thankful that it is only a fun thought experiment and not real life.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
I debated about olive oil instead of butter, but decided I wanted cake and cookies 😺
DeleteThat is tough to do. I've been thinking for a couple minutes and trying to think about what I can put together with other things. Thanks goodness we don't need to limit our diet to 20 things. Hope you had a super T day. The weather was amazing, wasn't it? Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteToday I taught my online calligraphy class so it was a fun day. I also went outside to get the mail wearing only a sweater! Looking forward to warm temps tomorrow
Delete3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 14 (there is a fairytale on this), 17, 19, 20.
ReplyDeletePlus... ? Difficult.
Almonds, basil, olive oil, kale, harissa, boy, seems either I don´t need much or I´m not good enough at cooking yet! Crazy, we have sooo much, but do we need all that?
I don't think I've heard Die Saltzprinzessin before. Interesting concept of what we value the most.
DeleteWhen I lived in Italy I always made my cakes with olive oil. Now I use vegetable oil for my cakes, but I grease the pan with butter so the cake does have a little bit of a buttery taste (and smell).
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look for some recipes using olive oil to bake with.
DeleteI like your coffee display. That cat is awesome. Your list is pretty much my list as well. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThat cat treat bowl is a Halloween decoration from a few years ago that never got put away 😺
DeleteMy list would be pretty much the same, but I would add spinach! Love your display, especially the angel and kitty! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat would you take away from my list to add your spinach
DeleteSounds like a great list, but I would substitute peanut butter for yeast, and ground pepper for bell peppers, maybe cheddar for mozzarella cheese. Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of peanut butter, but I should have included it because Himself really likes it
DeleteI don't want to contemplate this choice. :-(
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun problem, but hard to make a choice
DeleteThis certainly makes you think and I'm still thinking!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
It's an interesting but tough problem.
