The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Himself bought some muffins and picked a special chocolate and vanilla chai muffin for me.

2. Spent Saturday preparing food that could be eaten cold in case of a power outage from the storm. I made so much food that I didn't have to cook for 3 days.

3. Received an Ancestry message from distant cousin from my mother’s side of the family . Maybe some clues.

4. Chatted with my cousin and The Brother. Conversation take-away is we're getting old.

5. The Tesla Powerwall app stopped working a couple of months ago. After hunting around, I found a tweak, and now the app is working again.

How was your week?

  1. Nice week CJ. I especially like how you didn't have to cook for 3 days. Especially with this week's heat. I''m excited for tomorrow's cooler day. Hope you are too.

    1. Nope, a 20 degree drop in temp. will feel cold. I'll look forward to the heat predicted next week.

    1. We're supposed to get a break from the heat and humidity over the weekend. Did that front go by you? Awww, poor doodz. Winter is just around the corner and then we'll be complaining about the damn cold. Oh, wait, that will be just me.

    1. Himself brought in more zucchini so I'm making zucchini carrot muffins with raisins and pecans. C'mon over. I'm glad the storm was a dud for us. Hoping the same for the folks along the Gulf Coast.

  8. You are having storms and we are having fires out here ( nothing right near us thank God) but it seems so much of California is on fire. So sad. Sounds like you had a good week.

    1. I have a friend that lives in northern CA too. She showed me images of the smoke filled skies near Tahoe. So hard to imagine the scope of the damage and as you said so sad.

  9. You had a really good week, CJ. I actually had a pretty good week. I did a lot of cleaning the first part of the week, then enjoyed time with my friend Joseph and his sons.

Talk about getting old. I told my friend Sally that Joseph's sons were probably 6 and 8 because I hadn't seen them (the boys) in three years. They are actually 9 and 11! Time flies when you're not looking. I see Joseph about every year, and sadly the two times before this were because of funerals.
