Saturday Afternoon at the Movies

This idea came from a Facebook meme:

Over 10 days, post your 10 all time favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in alphabetical order:

Ben Hur (1959), Charlton Heston, Stephen Boyd

If you haven't seen it, you can watch on Amazon Prime https://www.amazon.com/Ben-Hur-Jack-Huston/dp/B01K5BTJH8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1529361722&sr=8-1&keywords=ben+hur

If this movie isn't to your liking, check out Kathy in the Ozarks recommendation.

I remember watching an interview with Heston and he told a story about making the movie...he was concerned about the chariot race and the director said to him, "Don't worry Chuck, I promise you're gonna win!" Except he wasn't worried about winning he was worried about surviving! LOL

Was wondering if you got the bad storms last night. We got the bad storms this morning. Just had a tornado warning lifted 15 min. ago. Wild weather this Summer!

:-D I don't blame, Chas. That scene was intense.

I remember the first time I saw this movie, on tv when I was young. What a story! I remember hearing that a stuntman died during filming of the chariot race and that they left that in the film; and then later I learned that was just an urban legend and that no one died. So much lore has grown up around this film. It's still shown on tv some, I think.

I've actually HEARD of this one, but never saw it. What can I say, right?

Yeah, we heard all the lore, too. You can usually catch BH around Easter/Passover on TV.

At least you've heard of it (-:
