Frosty, cold morning before a nuisance storm. Birdfeeders filled. Check.
Busy highway to and from the birdfeeder.
Icy, slushy mix. The college cancelled classes so Himself had a snow day.
Late in the afternoon, the male cardinal came by. He hung out on the bird feeder for more than a half an hour. I wonder if he got locked out of his nest. =^,.^=
Snow and sleet turned to rain leaving slush ponds in the back yard.
The front walk and driveway were a skating rink. The front stairs are electrified (one of the better home improvement projects we did), so the stairs are ice free and dry. You might slide down the walk, but will have sure footing on the stairs.
How does your garden grow?
Looks similar to here. We got snow and hail today- grey, cloudy weather. Not my cup of coffee. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteAs my elderly neighbor, Prissy, used to say: Better days are coming.
DeleteElectrified stairs! Good idea! We once had a neighbor who electrified his entire driveway! It was a looooong and steep driveway! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that would be so cool! Our driveway is 75 -
Delete100 ft. long. The stairs eat up a ton of electricity when they are on, I can't imagine a driveway.
The ice was so bad before this little warm up. Of course when it gets the cold the cie will be right back.Scary! I do think it is suppose to stay warmer this week for the most part. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHoping all of this rain doesn't freeze. Warmer temps are predicted. An artist friend reported seeing several robins in her yard. That must mean winter is over.
DeleteThis looks like one of our past winters, but certainly not this year. No ice, very little snow, but lots of wind and bitter cold here. Seems what I miss, you receive!
ReplyDeleteToo bad there wasn't some middle ground with weather
DeleteOur drifts of snow are massive, but we are having a warm up! That is so cool about your stairs! Well done! I hope Mr Cardinal was aloud back home! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI hope our snow drifts melt away soon, but not too fast to cause flooding! I hope Mr. Cardinal wasn't in the doghouse all night, too.
DeleteThat's one cold and frosty morning! We had a quick burst of snowfall on Sunday but it was soon replaced by rain 😁. I hope you had a lovely weekend! J 😊
