The Friday Five Good Things

A Forest Puppy aka a bear
Five good things that happened this week.

1. We took a weekend trip to New Hampshire for a genealogy cemetery sighting and some leaf peeping.

2. We went to Lancaster, NH where Himself spent Summer weekends at his grandfather's farm. We skipped stones across Martin Meadow Pond

3. We went to Clark's Trading Post to see the Forest Puppies!

4. Nan and I went to see Downton Abbey. And then had tea and cookies at Starbuck's in the Barnes and Noble.

5. The loud crash turned out to be one of the shelves of my bookcase giving out from the weight of the books and not The Young One falling in her room.

How was your week?

  1. You've been busy. But fun busy. It sounds very good to me. Those forest pups are a little more than pups I think-smile. Happy weekend-almost. Hugs-Erika

  3. Sounds like an action packed week! Glad the crash was a book shelf rather than anyone getting injured and how lovely to meet with Nan to watch Downton Abbey - did you enjoy it? Happy Friday and weekend! Hugs, Jo x

    1. The plastic pegs that hold the shelf gave way. I have some metal pegs that may work out better. I hope 😺

  7. They still have Starbuck's in Barnes and Noble? What is this the 90's?

  8. I trust you enjoyed the movie, and tea in a bookstore sounds like the perfect follow-up.

Decorations on bookshelves have no other purpose than making sure the books don't get too heavy for the shelves lol

    1. We had a very nice visit. Lunch, movie, and tea. With plenty of gab time to catch up.

I have too many calligraphy reference books and no room for decorations 😺

Shame about the bookshelf, hope it can be fixed … at least no-one was injured.

    All the best Jan
