From The Land Downunder

Finally after 6 weeks, my exchange partner's package arrived from Australia

Even without the Australia metered mail label and the fancy, glittery address, the dragon stamp in the return address was the giveaway that Toot's package arrived.

What's inside the carefully wrapped canvas?

The canvas wrapping turned out to be an amazing calligraphic piece. Toots is the Queen of Glitter and this amazing piece just sparkles.

"Boldness has Genius,
power and magic in it
Whatever you do or dream
you can begin it Now"

Inside the canvas, all sort of ephemera goodies, eco print, beautiful penmanship on a slip of real parchment (animal skin)

More fun stuff. A postcard from Toots with the note: "Oh, I was tempted to smear with Vegemite" 😸Yeah...No. Definitely no.  😸

Another eco dyed piece.

Thank you, Toots for all the wonderful goodness from Oz. It was worth the wait.

  1. Ah thank goodness it arrived, sorry re the folds in the Canvas, if you lay it flat, and put weights on it should flatten out ok. Thought you might be able to use the other bits and bobs in or on something. Glad you liked all. Hugs Toots.

  2. Very cool! :-)
Haha, if it was smeared with Vegemite it maybe would not have arrived, the smell would make the postie drop it, LOL

    1. Maybe it would have arrived faster as the offices pushed it along quicker to get the smell out of their office. 😸

  5. How beautiful. Art amazes me. Being unable to draw a good stick figure, I am awed by people who can create such beauty from nothing. Well done, Toots!

  7. That looks like one amazing package with so many beautiful pieces and lots of goodies too. My eye was drawn to the eco dyeing as I have played around with that a bit. It came out lovely. And that calligraphy is amazing. It was worth the wait, wasn't it? And to answer all those questions you asked in you comment to me, I don't know. I'm worried the queen will die, and I wish I could find more info about this bee move. Stay dry. hugs-Erika

    1. On FB I shared a post that I thought you might be interested in. Chad is a beekeeper in Charlton. I think I might have mentioned him to you. Why don't you send him a PM and ask your questions.

  9. I was thinking exactly the same as Deb. I'm still singing it.

Your gift was incredible. Glitter is hard to photograph, but you did it well. Love the extra ephemera, too. Right now, I'm into collage fodder, so I could definitely find a place for all of it (grin). Had to laugh at the Vegemite threat!
