T Stands for the Proper Way to Eat Tim Tams

While shopping at Ocean State Job Lots, a bargain store, Himself found packages of Tim Tams. Tim Tams are Australian cookies  (biscuits).  Chocolate cookies with a creamy filling and enrobed in chocolate. There are several varieties: Original, Dark Chocolate, Chewy Caramel, Double Coat, Murray River Salted Caramel, and White. I've had the Dark, Original, and Chewy Caramel.

Apparently, I haven't been eating these cookies correctly.

From Toots: and remember you have to also try the normal choc one, put one end into your Coffee, and suck it through the Tim Tam.

She even sent a link to a video

I don't drink coffee so Toots suggested a cup of hot chocolate. I gave it a try, and though delicious, I didn't like the Tim Tam melting so I would have to cram the whole thing in my mouth. No, thanks. I'll savor them one bite at a time.

Besides finding the cookies at Ocean State Job Lots, I have also seen them at Target.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s blog to find out what the rest of the T gang is up to. If you want to play, include a beverage or beverage container in your post. Don’t forget to link your blog from Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s page.

  1. I haven't heard of or seen TimTams, but like you, I'm not a cookie dunker so I'd prefer them straight up. Next time I'm in Ocean State Job Lots or at Target I'm going to look for them because I'd love to give them a try. Happy T day CJ. hugs-Erika

  9. I had heard of TimTams from various Aussie bloggers. They seem to be a favorite with many of them. I think one even had a recipe for making your own!

My Target and also World Market had them for a while, in a few flavors, and I especially loved the mint ones. Target hasn't had them lately, though.

Thanks for sharing the proper way, and your hot chocolate with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ. Sorry I was MIA for several days. Just couldn't get your page to allow me to leave a comment.

  13. I have never heard of Tim Tams but they sound rich and so good. I don't know if I would like to dip them in hot coco or coffee either. Have a nice evening.
