T Stands for Zucchini Waffles and a New Mug

One Sunday morning earlier in the month, I made Zucchini Bread Waffles. Included in the recipe is a recipe for a cream cheese syrup. I didn't have the cream cheese on hand. Besides, I prefer my waffles with a dusting of powdered sugar.

I also had tea in the souvenir mug I got when I visited the U.S.S. Albacore Museum when I went to Camp Ogunquit with my friend, Teague.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. CJ, the waffle sounds faboulous. Even the cream cheese syrup sounds fun although I would have skipped it too. I actually prefer my waffles with cheese - strange I know. Fun new mug too - I love mugs that bring back memories. Happy T-day and hugz

  4. I like your new mug CJ. And those waffles sound great. (Thanks for the recipe link-I printed it off). I haven't made waffles in a very long time, and this sounds like a fun change of pace from the regular plain batter ones. Happy T day. hugs-Erika

    1. My mother used to make us gargle with Karo syrup when we had a sore throat. As a kid, I didn't know it was used for other things. 😸

  11. Your waffles look good and I bet they are delicious. I don't really know what cream cheese syrup might be and would definitely prefer the powdered sugar as well. Happy T day!

    1. I think the cream cheese syrup is more like a thin icing that's cream cheese flavored? I'd rather have the powdered sugar

  16. At least you used the powdered sugar, even if you left out the cream cheese and syrup. It looks good. To be honest, I haven't seen my waffle iron in at least four years. Your waffle looks perfect.

That's a lovely new mug you got on your trip. Nice way to remember the good time you had and you can celebrate each time you use it for your tea. Thanks for sharing your waffle and recipe, and your new mug with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.

  18. The waffle looks really yummy. My hubby loves waffles so I might just make that one soon.
The mug is beautiful. I had to go to your post about Albacore to se what that was about. How interesting. Our next door neighbor when I was a child, was a submariner in the Dutch navy. That would have been in the sixties. He used to tell us about the cramped living quarters, and how you had to get along with your mates or it would be hell.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca
