I'm wondering how long it would take the 42 things to get to me from Amazon these days lol I'm hearing people report predicted delivery dates months from now as they prioritize medical/essential deliveries.
Peapod, one of the big online grocery services here, has no delivery times available until after April 5 Imagine having to wait that long for toilet paper? 😱 IF you do receive packages, let them sit inside your porch or in your garage for 72 hours, Or spray disinfectant on the package before you bring it inside your home. (Suggestion per our PCP)
I'm just not ordering anything 'til this is over unless I end up ordering peanuts for the patio birds. Blue Jays really like them, as do cardinals. Easter is just over 2 weeks away, though, and trump says... oh, never mind ;)
Just saw your comment on the (whatever PCP is) you left Divers and Sundry. I don't let ANYTHING in my house until it's been sprayed. I open my mailbox with gloves on and spray the mail on the porch. When I open it, I spray it again. All cans, jars, even boxes, get sprayed. Call me paranoid, or suggest as someone did years ago that I must have worked for OSHA in a previous lifetime. I try to prepare for the worst case scenario and hope for the best. That way I'm never disappointed.
I heard six Amazon facilities had employees who tested positive for COVID-19.
I wanted a thermometer. I think mine is broken. I tried to take my temp a few days ago, I'm either 94 F or 108 F, depending on how you read it. Scott was going to buy one on Amazon for me (I don't buy anything on the internet). There was a (get this) $42.00 charge to expedite the item. Turns out it was a MEAT thermometer and I have two of those already. Maybe I'll stick a candy thermometer under my arm for a day to see if that helps (grin).
Fun to see your various 42s. I'm always on the lookout, too.
Stay warm, stay safe, stay alert, spray often, and wash your hands!!!
PCP = Primary Care Physician. I sent a thermo scan thermometer that I found with the help of the pharmacist in the pharmacy area of my local grocery store. Maybe you can try that route? The Eldest said it also talks. 😺
You can use some kinds of meat thermometers to take your temp. I saw this earlier today: https://skillet.lifehacker.com/you-can-take-your-temperature-with-a-meat-thermometer-1842476053
When I saw your post in my blog list side bar, I wondered, "How does she keep noticing 42 everywhere, while I keep forgetting to look for it?" And then I chuckled when I saw you included my comment from one of your previous 42 posts. Now that you mention it, I do recall that most / all of your finds are from online. :-)
I don't usually read comments people leave, but something caught my eye with Divers and Sundry's comment. Now there is a several month backlog for online orders?! Ugh. Just when I thought the bare shelves / item shortage issues couldn't get any worse. It did!
