Even though I didn't participate in the exchange, Elizabeth also included some ephemera to use in future art projects. She sent a colorful napkin, 2 ticket (which might be used for my entry into 2 future T Day posts 😺), a musical note, A (two notes below middle C), an 8 of Cups Tarot card, a postcard of the Palacio de Gobierno (State Capitol Building) in Chihuahua, Mexico, and a flash card.
The flashcard made me laugh as it brought back memories of Ma drumming the multiplication tables in my head. She took the flashcards with her when we went to visit Grandma (her mother) in East Boston. Ma and I sat in the back seat of the green Studebaker Dad drove. The Brother got to ride shotgun. All the way through the endless miles (ok, it's not quite a mile long but with the flash cards it felt like forever) of the Callahan Tunnel (East Boston is an island and the tunnel runs underneath Boston Hahbah ), she'd hold up a flash card What's 9 times 1? 😺
Thank you, Elizabeth and Bleubeard for thinking of me. Your package was a complete surprise.

DeleteGoodness, CJ. I was mowing all day and didn't get on the internet after early this morning. I'm glad you enjoyed the gifts. The musical note is a flash card, too, but it's very specific and rather old. I'm glad you got these because you have been so kind to me over the past few years since I've known you.
