We at frozen black raspberries that we picked in the woods where we were not supposed to play because of the hobos! 😺 Out of all the times I was in the woods, I never saw a hobo or any sign that they were about. No tin can, no old stogies, nothing. 😺
At least there was a slight breeze yesterday. I sat outside under and umbrella with Mom for 1 1/2 hours. That was hot but the car was worse. I don't think it had really cooled down by the time I drove home. I was a walking zombie so to speak. Stay cool! Today is also pretty bad.
oh wow, forgot about the hobos - we had to beware of the hobos back then also in our small town...lol... we would sit in front of the fan and sometimes get to spend time in my parents room where they had the only air conditioner or swamp cooler or some such thing back then. Only in their room... thanks mom and dad.
It's hot everywhere in the Northern Hemisphere. When I was a child we had electric fans but the blades were dangerous metal without a stop-switch if you touched them. My mother was terrified that we would stick our fingers in the fan, and I still find them a bit scary. So that collage is both clever and threatening!
I remember as a kid when we had no a/c we sat in front of the fans
ReplyDeleteWe went to the cellar and opened up the big upright freezer 😺
Deleteyep that works when we were kids we would also sneak in the basement freezer to eat frozen blueberries etc

Deletelol! I don't mind heat during the day, but I like it cool for sleeping. The central air is having a hard time dealing with this heat!
ReplyDeleteYup, the AC is getting a workout between the humidity and hot flashes 😺

Yeah, I wouldn't hug the fan. Sitting in front of the refrigerator would be something I'd do instead.
DeleteSending cooling wishes.
