The Friday Five Good Things

Anniversary Card from Himself
"Another year of sharing life's
ups and downs together."

Five good things that happened this week.

 1. Waiting at the light to make the left turn to go to the dentist, the driver across from me waved me ahead as the light turned green. I gave a salute to the driver as Massachusetts drivers aren't always patient or polite.

2. Lost a crown (tooth) but the dentist was able to cement it back into place.

3. We had a fun and quiet anniversary. Himself cooked an eggplant Parmigiana. We had shrimp cocktail, lobster ravioli, a salad from Himself's garden, and berry tartlets. We hung out in the sun room and watched The Black List

4. After doctor's appointment and lab work for Himself we stopped for take out at The 99. Smothered steak tips for Himself, a lobster roll for me, and another day of no cooking.

5. Got the idea for this year's Christmas card while watching Bradford Dillman in Francis of Assisi (1961)

How was your week?

    1. Yogurt and blueberries would make a good mid-morning snack. Too bad, I'm all out of yogurt

    1. That sounds typical. Either rain or lots of ants 😺 Send the rain up here we could use it.

  11. SO glad to read you had a good anniversary. I LOVE the card your husband gave you. I laughed and laughed.

Sounds like you had a wonderful week. Mine has been all about playing catch-up which is harder than I anticipated after being offline for nine days.

Sally talked me into going out for takeout. I was very skeptical, but decided it was time for me to start living my life again after six months. We went to City Bites and each got a foot-long sub. It lasted for two days. Now I'm back on lockdown, but full (grin).

    1. The card cracked me up, too. Glad you're finally back in the Ether and a foot-long sub was a delicious way to celebrate.

  12. Nope, I know all about MAss drivers and since I grew up in Worcester area, I can become one pretty quick. Maybe this driver grew up in NH where drivers are much for courteous and now lives in MA. Hope the tooth is doing better after the dentist.

    #2 see #1, owwww
#3 Happy belated anniversary!!!! To Love!
    #4 yum
    #5 Show!

River Oker turned our condo into a sauna. Hubby bought a VERY LOUD mobile aircon for me. Well, I payed and he was so nice to give me his silent one and took the darn thing over.
    It´s hot :-)
The lady from the place I rent to her claims the water is stuck again, thankfully in that apartment there are two loos. The small one works. That card did not really make me smile..
    To a happy Sunday anyways!

    1. You will have to wait until Christmas before the Christmas card design is unveiled.

Glad you got some AC for your heatwave. I can see where the toilet card wouldn't make you smile with plumbing issues. Hope the plumbing is fixed soon.
