DeleteIs this going to be a zoom class, or are you recording it and then we watch it? I am interested, but I must tell you my hand skills are not the neatest. Would that matter? When I went by the museum on my way to visit my Mom this week I thought I could stop in and visit one of these days. I see it isn't opening until October. But I haven't been there in a long long time.
ReplyDeleteThis is a live class via Zoom sponsored by the Worcester Art Museum. Because of privacy concerns, the museum will not be recording the classes. Missed classes are missed, but you would receive any handouts for the missed lesson. No previous experience with calligraphy is required.
DeleteEven though the museum could already be opened under Mass. Phase 3, the opening has been postponed until October. I imagine the administration and staff are busy putting safety protocols into place (hand sanitizer stations, stand here dots on the floor, one way in one way out to be able to count visitors and who is in the building. There was also work being done on the Lancaster St. Entrance. Time would also be needed to prepare for exhibitions.
I was just going to ask if you are teaching a beginning calligraphy class
DeleteHave fun
ReplyDeleteWill do!
DeleteThis is a very real benefit to online classes: you don't have to travel and you can take the class from your own home. I'd imagine this would increase participation.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope so.
DeleteSounds like a great way to carry on! :D
ReplyDeleteUnder the circumstances, I think a very good alternative.
DeleteSomehow I missed this. Good luck with the calligraphy and book binding classes. I hope you get lots of students.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be running these online classes, they sound fabulous! Enjoy ๐. Happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
