Whatcha Doin?

Something a little different for Wednesday. What am I working on?

I started a few of the digital art workshops from Workshop week and fumbled around using Procreate on the iPad. I managed to get the projects done, but I don't really know where all the tools and functions of the program are located.

Nan suggested that I take a free tutorial from Teela Cunningham to learn the ins and outs of Procreate.  There's also a Tuesday group where Teela offers, tips, tricks, and other resources every Tuesday. I signed up for that, too.

So, I'm making a foray into the digital artworld. Whatcha doin?

  4. Is that a program that is free, or do you buy it? I ask because I have PhotoShop, which I paid a fortune for, but only use it to crop and watermark my photos. To my knowledge it doesn't create things you did on your iPad. Now I wonder if it's purely a Mac program.

    1. No, Photoshop can also be used on PC. It is the industry standard for editing photos. You can draw and create with it though I think Illustrator would be a better application for that.

Procreate is a one time fee of $9.99 but only works on an iPad.

    2. No wonder I don't know about it, although I've seen Nan use and mention it on her blog. That's a decent price for the program. Add $290.00 and you would have Photoshop (grin). Yes, it was one cent short of $300.00 when I got my version of PS.

  5. Good for you. There are so many cool programs out there. I spent my day doing a long list of chores before the humidity returns. But it was a good day!

    1. Good for you getting all your chores done. Sounds like you'll be able to spend time in the screen porch. Grab and ice tea, put your feet up in the hammock, and read.

  6. Had a quiet day sorting paperwork ...
    All done now!

    All the best Jan

  7. I like this theme idea. I don't think I've heard of this tool, though.
