The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Himself recorded one of my favorite Richard Widmark movies, Down to the Sea in Ships

2. Two hummingbirds were visiting the honeysuckle vine. One of them looked in the window at me while I was washing dishes

3. The new washer was delivered and hooked up

4. Errands and lunch out.

5.Cleaning in the deep crevices of my sun room chair, I found one of Ink's plastic drinking straws that he liked to play with.

    Sounds good! I cleaned out the crevices in my armchair and found several coins that must have fallen out of my pocket....that's an encouragement to clean! Have a fun day, Valerie

    Sounds like a good week, except for #5. I would have been saddened, but I'm sentimental about my pets/family like that. Glad you saw it as a good thing, though.

      I'm sentimental, too, but seeing one of Ink's "toys" brought back happy memories. It was like getting a message from him that he thinks of us, too.

    I still feeding my hummingbirds but I haven't seen any this week. (Of course I haven't been home for most of the day so that might explain it). Sounds like you had a good week. Mine was uneventful but I should have some excitement this weekend. Hope you have a good one!

    I've never seen that movie, but I googled it and the cast is wonderful! Our honeysuckle only have the occasional bloom these days, but the hummingbirds are still coming to the feeder. Congrats on the new washer :) Sweet memories can catch us by surprise. How sweet :) I usually only find crumbs....

      Down to the Sea isn't shown very often, but so worth it if you get a chance. A very sweet coming of age story.

    Sounds a very good week.
    Ours has been a good one, although as usual it seems to have sped by.
    We met up with family earlier in the week and enjoyed a super lunch out … now looking forward to the weekend.
