M stopped by to visit in the afternoon. She was in the first class I took at Enders. One of the friendships made that lasted beyond the class.
We had an awesome breakfast. Stuffed French toast stuffed with blueberries and cream cheese. Heaven.
In the afternoon there was supposed to be a regatta or parade of sail. We would be able to see it through the studio windows. Everyone was so busy trying to get the project so it would be finished by Friday, we forgot to look up and missed it!
After an evening walk, I went to the common room in the dorm to fix a cup of tea. One of my classmates was sitting in the corner reading a book. I didn't see her. She said "Hi!" and I nearly jumped out of my skin. We chit chatted over tea until she had to make a phone call and I went to bed.
I laughed at you jumping 'out of your skin'....Husband sneaks up on me ALL the time! I need to put a cat bell on him! (And I jump EVERY time too!) :D
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad I wasn't carrying my cup of hot tea when she said hello 😺
DeleteFriendships that last after the event is over are a blessing :) I love those cats
ReplyDeleteI met two friends at the first class in 2015 and have been in contact with them since. The cats are to protect the guilty 😺

DeleteSounds like you had a wonderful time. I love the Ink drawings:)
ReplyDeleteThe little Inks were picture tubes I made in PSP to use to cover names in the journal.
Deletethe toast recipe sounds delicious; and one could substitute blue berries for just about any of the berries I'm guessing !!
ReplyDeletewavez two ewe INK frum da tabbies ~~~~ ☺☺♥♥
Yup, any berries besides blueberries would work.
DeleteAbsolutely wonderful notes and drawings. How nice to maintain friendships after an event (the class) has ended. I also want some of that french toast.
ReplyDeleteThere are just some people you are meant to click with. And I hope the stuffed French toast is on the menu in October 😋
DeleteI had a long day yesterday and missed this post. I've never tried stuffed French toast, how is it? Nice sketches and what a good way to remember your days on the island. Will you do another one in October? Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I would like the stuff French toast because I'm not a huge fan of plain cream cheese. But the cream cheese stuffing was sweet from the blueberries. In a word Heaven!
DeleteIf the October workshop fills, I'll be there.
Great journal pages CJ! Blueberries, cream cheese in french toast?? I want it now! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe stuffed French toast was the best breakfast. I hope the chef makes it again when I'm there in October
