Saturday Afternoon at the Movies

This idea came from a Facebook meme:
Over 10 days, post your 10 all time favorite films. What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

Only I had a hard time picking out just 10 movies so my favorites over the next few hundred Saturdays 😸 in semi-alphabetical order:me favorite films. This week a double feature starring Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon

Some Like It Hot (1959) Marilyn Monroe

The Great Race (1965) Natalie Wood

If you haven't seen either of these movies, if you have TCM you may be able to find these movies there and both are available for rent on YouTube.

  2. I haven't seen either of these and haven't even heard of the second one. However, I DO get TCM.

I'm shocked. I got notification of this post early for once this week.

    1. If you're looking for comedy both of these movies deliver. The Great Race is based on movie serials from the silent movie era. Hero meets girl, villain thwarts hero, hero rescues damsel, defeats villain. Happy ending.
