For once, I actually knew that. Didn't know about the official status, though.

School children around the state have petitioned for various animals, foods, to be official state things. I think the process to teach children how laws are passed.

I need to make some baked beans. Homemade ones are better than canned ones. Have a great Saturday.

I grew up in Pa and NJ area.. I LOVE me some baked beans!!! My TX husband is not a huge fan of them though... Down here its all about pinto beans... Hubby has to REALLY doctor up his pinto beans for me to eat them.. I didn't know that about Mass. but the name Bean Town sounds familiar though.. Hugs! deb

We don't have a state bean. Our state fruit, though, is the tomato.

Ever since as a kid my mom made me finish every baked bean on my plate, I now for all these years am thankful I have the right to say no thank you to the horrid baked bean... Anyway happy Saturday to you.

Maybe they need to be doctored up with apples, raisins, and maple syrup.

lol..truly i don't think anything would help. She use to supposedly make really good baked beans and people loved them at our get togethers. Also cole slaw is the absolute worse...lol at least as a kid it was.

I'm not a big fan of Cole slaw as I don't really like mayonnaise. Same with macaroni and potato salad
