Five good things that happened this week.
1. Mama Cardinal was in the honeysuckle vine. I think she's looking for a spot to build her nest
2. Dug out The Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea DVDs for some mindless entertainment.
3. While Himself watched football all day, I watched some old movies. Robert Taylor in Knights of the Round Table (1953) and Katherine Hepburn in Little Women (1933)
4. Messenger convo with Teague. She finally got the New Year's card I sent.
5. On the last shopping order, Himself included lamb tamales. First time we ever had tamales. Not bad and not as spicy as I thought they would be.
How was your week?
Sounds like a perfect winter week! :D
ReplyDeleteI'd be happier if it wasn't Winter 😺
DeleteSounds like a good one. I had to chuckle when you mentioned about getting cards in the mail. My mom sent us a Christmas card TWO WEEKS before Christmas and we ONLY received it in the mail last weekend! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteWell, the embarrassing thing was I forgot to put a stamp on the card. So it took almost 3 weeks before the card was returned to me!
DeleteYour week sounds good. Here the week flew by! Enjoy your weekend! Valerie

DeleteI have that DVD; I'm going to have to give it a watch again too !! I've seen a few cardinal in the back.. and robin too , though where they are now is anyone's guess !! happy weekend :) ♥♥
ReplyDeleteI thought birds were taboo at your house 😉 And Crane or Morton?
DeleteIt has been a good week, except for the cold today. Nice excuse to sit by the woodstove and red until it cooked me and I had to mvoe to cooler spots in the house. Does sound like a good week for you CJ. Mindless entertainment is good for this time of year! have a great start to your weekend.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
DeleteOh i used to watch that series! Love it! We've had a good week... Sitting here typing on my new laptop Woot woot! I've missed blogland this week .. Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteCool! A new toy! Enjoy!
DeleteFun old movies :) I do love seeing the cardinal pairs on our patio, though they don't nest here. There are more sheltered places nearby. Maybe someday we'll have enough growth to support a cardinal nest :)
ReplyDeleteThis will be the 3rd year they are looking at the honeysuckle vine. Their old nests are still in the vine. Lots of other birds are taking a look, too.
DeleteA great week! Love your cardinal drawing!

DeleteSo pleased to hear about the cardinals, they must feel safe nesting in the honeysuckle 😀. Glad that that your finding things to do inside in the warm ...lol! Happy wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThe vine is right outside the kitchen window so protected by the house and the sunroom. The birds don't seem to mind us clomping around the kitchen or watching them through the window.
DeleteSounds a good week.
ReplyDeleteI do like your cardinal drawing, very colourful :)
All the best Jan
