  1. Happy Birthday. Oh I never would be allowed to call my Dad "Pal" - I wasn´t even allowed to refer as "him" when he was around.
    Gosh, do I feel old(-fashioned).
Nice you had a good relationship!
They live on as long as we remember them, hugs from here.

  6. Happy Birthday to the ole guy!! My dad was just a little younger - born in 1923 - he would have turned 98 in November. Which reminds me...I never finished your dad's autobiography and I enjoyed reading it. I'll have to find it and catch up. Over this last year I have been organizing all of my dad's autobiography, his poems, artwork and a gazillion letters to me after my mom died and he lived in Arizona and we would write several times a week. He would also draw cartoons on his letters or include poems he made up spur of the moment. If I were to put it all in a three ring binder it would be a couple inches high. I told my boys someday i'll have copies made of everything so they each get a collection. I need to get busy on that.

  9. This is a great St. Patrick's Day piece CJ. I like the little leprechaun. Did you celebrate? I found some shamrock shaped (and green) ravioli at the grocery store. I thought of you because the ravioli being an Italian dish. And of course your Irish last name. Smile. Hugs-Erika
