T Stands for How to Make Tea Sandwiches and a Victorian Sponge Cake

At 25 min. long, the video may be too long to watch, but besides being informative, it's also relaxing. The host, Nicolas is quite charming with a delightful accent. The tea sandwiches he makes are simple and the Victorian sponge cake is a classic. He also has lots of pretty cups and dishes. Thanks to Divers and Sundry for letting me steal borrow this clip.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. Victoria sponge was news to me when it appeared on the Great British Baking Show a few years ago. I don't think I would have the patience for 25 minutes of tea sandwiches.

    1. I always thought the Victoria sponge was complicated to make, but it doesn't seem that difficult

  2. We always had what My Grandma called a sit down tea on a Sunday, The table would groan with food, Salmon and cucumber and ham sandwiches, Fairy cakes and butterfly cakes, I always confuse my sons american friends by calling dinner, tea, because we always had our dinner at lunchtime and tea when we came home from school.

    1. That was like the nuns who I had as teachers. They had dinner at the noon meal and supper at the evening meal.
