How Does Your Garden Grow?

Daffodils growing strong. I wanted to cut some to bring inside, but it seems daffodils are toxic to cats.

Cheery pansy faces

The first appearance of the dandelions and

and violets

Ever faithful Catsfoot or Creeping Charlie is back

Peas coming up

More peas

Sunflower seeds started in a soil/hydroponic experiment

Potato plant

Carrots (I bet the bunnies will love these! 😸)

Himself's early birthday present. A little wagon/scooter you can tow around the garden. It has a basket in back to hold a 5 gal. bucket, a space under the seat for more storage, and you can sit while you garden. The seat swivels, too.

How does your garden grow?

  1. The yard is looking great CJ. I went to visit my mom yesterday and was surprised how much more is out in Worcester. Including some trees already popping leaves. And I love the hubby's birthday present. It looks like a really useful gift. Happy Sunday and happy new week. Hugs-Erika

    1. He was dragging a chair around so he can sit when walking gets to be too much, but it was clumsy and he didn't have a good place to put whatever tools he needed. The scooter looks like it will make a big difference

  2. Himself's b'day present is ADORABLE! (Not sure how you can weed a garden sitting down but that's the way I'd rather do it! LOL)

  4. Daffodils here are long gone, but my cat mint is in full bloom. I was pleased it lived through the winter. That's good to know :)

  5. wow that is one cute wagon scooter. Your garden is blooming! Our daffodils bloomed up here in Twin Peaks - and quickly died off. That had never happened before up here. Going out today to an area up here in my town which is usually blooming pretty this time of year. I hope it is.

    1. i've got a lot just haven't put them up. Going down to another favorite place tomorrow - Riverside...they have a nice botanical garden at the university. I hope it's open though - last year Covid impacted the schedule and they weren't open often.

  6. I am loving that little scooter-we have such steep hills here I would probably fall off haha but it looks perfect for gardening. Your garden is growing nicely and I love all those flowers-

  7. My old woman says that's a lovely garden. She doesn't have many house plants because SOMEONE (i.e. ME) always tries to dig them up! He-he! (From Toffee the cat)

  8. Dandelions rule my yard, both front and back, so I can empathize. Himself's early b'day gift is wonderful and looks quite useful, too.
