The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. After teaching the 8-10 yr olds how to make small books, we sent out to Five Guys for dinner.

2. Calli shook her paws the way Ink used to do when I opened up the slider door and it was chilly in the sunroom. She's the new furcaster.

3. Spring cleaned the front porch

4. Himself's brother came over to help with a project. Nothing like having company coming to start a cleaning frenzy.

5. I think I got the hang of folding the Blizzard Book

How was your week?

  1. My week's been good, except the for the wind. I wanted to finish up some raking. Nope, not happening. Sounds like a good week, and of course, doing the cleaning frenzy is not always a good thing, but it is nice to have it done. Have a great day. hugs-Erika

  3. I laughed at "Nothing like having company coming to start a cleaning frenzy." I had a friend growing up that used to ask her mother, "Who's coming to visit?" whenever her mother cleaned! LOL

    1. This morning, I was just thinking how white the kitties' fur stays. The dust and dirt in the house must be colorless 😸

  8. wow, you got a lot accomplished. I love the idea of a sunroom. i had an atrium at my house I miss so much. It was enclosed with lattice and screen and on three sides walls of the house. Even the top of it was screen and latticed. I loved it. I think most of us humans do the same thing when company is coming. I know I do. Even if it's just my kids and their families. I spend a week detailing off and on - every little corner and then when they leave BOOM it's all a mess again. I have no problem commenting here but I can't even hardly get to the comments on my own blogs. If I respond to one I'm lucky but if I try more it keeps sending me back to the home page ..I'm very frustrated about this at the moment. Don't know if others are going through this.

    1. The sunroom is my happy place at least for a few months out of the year. I'm glad I'm not the only one who frenzy cleans before company arrives. I haven't had issues with comments, but I'm not liking the new comment format.

    2. I keep having to change my blog choice theme every so often back to a more standard one. It seems like that one has more problems than others.
Like right now I went to comment on a comment over at my blog. I hit reply and it takes me to my profile. it's so irritating.

    1. Unlike Ink, the kitties don't seem to mind having their photos taken. The above pose was a candid as Calli had fallen asleep while sitting up.
