I was asked to teach a book making class at the Worcester Art Museum for 8 - 10 year olds next Friday. After picking up the paper to be used for covers and pages at WAM, Vincent is helping me cut the paper. We'll be using the cutting machine to cut out circles for a circle book.
Whatcha doin?
That sounds like a fun class. Today is allergy shot day once again. I would rather stay home and do some raking because finally, a day without wind. Let's see if it stays that way until I get home this afternoon. Enjoy these nice temperatures. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLucky you that you don't have to supply the paper, but you do have to supply your time and sewing the books. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI am going to relax after the harrowing two days I had this week.
The children will be sewing, gluing, and fastening the books. I do get compen$ated for my time.
DeleteI hope things are back to normal for you.
DeleteHappy Friday My Friend
ReplyDeleteCheers
Rushing the week, aren't you Padre? 😸
DeleteSounds like a fun class! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope so.
DeleteI look forward to seeing the books. As you know, I'm on my own book/booklet journey. Haven't seen a circle book.
ReplyDeleteYou'll see it in a future post
DeleteOOOOoooo circle book sounds cool even for a 54 yr old.. Ssshhh... did i just say that?! I've been finishing up visiting the Tparty.. Making and posting my Food Wed post with Kathy and visiting the Food Wed people.. Now i'm off to do dishes , straighten up the house a little bit and lose myself in the craftroom the rest of the day.. Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect day
Deletehow cool is this !!!! hope you and the students have a great time and fun in class.....guessing that would//will be a bit of a challenge in cutting the circles ??? :) ♥
ReplyDeleteCutting the paper ahead saves time so the students will have the time to make the books to take home.
DeleteWhat fun. I know you'll do a wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteI hope so. I haven't taught this age group before.
DeleteSounds great, have fun! Valerie
ReplyDeleteIt should be a good time.
DeleteWhat am I doing? Nothing compared to what you are doing. Just sitting here thinking about doing something. Tried Big Bear Lake today but there was some big traffic hold up on the higway. We gave it 30 minutes and then turned around in traffic to come home. That's about it for me.
ReplyDeleteToo bad, you didn't make it to Big Bear. I love seeing the photos you take
DeleteSounds like a fun class.
ReplyDeleteToday we have been out and about enjoying the Spring sunshine :)
All the best Jan
I got to enjoy some sunshine in the sunroom
DeleteHow wonderful, have fun with your class! Your little helper is super cute 😉. Happy wishes! Hugs Jo x
