In 1997, the chocolate chip cookie was designated as the official state cookie. The cookie was invented in 1930 at the Tollhouse Restaurant in Whitman, Massachusetts.

DeleteI'd move to Mass. just for the cookies!! lol
ReplyDeleteWhat? No chocolate chip cookies in Texas? I would have expected enormous chocolate chip cookies in Texas because everything is bigger in Texas. 😺
DeleteIf I had to rank inventions based on their importance to man, this one would rank pretty high, even if it isn't as important as lets say a dialysis machine or a computer. Stay cool yourself CJ! hugs-Erika

DeleteGood choice! (IMHO....lol)
ReplyDeleteYour state is more fun than my state.
ReplyDeleteCome North, young woman. 😺
DeleteInteresting. Many cool things happened in Massachusetts. Even the BeeGees thought so, well when the lights came back on.

DeleteGoodness. You even have a state COOKIE. I'm impressed!!
ReplyDeleteThere's even more. Wait until you see! 😺
DeleteTollhouse?! In German another word for asylum... (Tollhaus).
ReplyDeleteThat cookies would drive me "nuts", LOL!
Toll as in collecting a fee to use a road/highway. The original Tollhouse cookie did have nuts in it besides the chocolate chips. I thought "toll" auf Deutsch meant "great". As in "What do you think of this cookie?" "Toll"
DeleteI had to give up all cookies - these look yummy! Chrisx
ReplyDelete😿
DeleteSo that's where tollhouse cookies name came from!
