Fun Facts About the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

 Yeah, you read this before. I originally posted this on the wrong date.



The state dessert is Boston Cream pie which isn't a pie at all. It's a cake with custard filling sandwiched between two yellow cake layers and topped with chocolate glaze. 

The dessert originated in the 19th century when there was no distinction between pie and cake pans.

  1. When i was in basic training for the Army CJ i must have ate my weight in Boston Cream Pie... We exercised so much it didn't make a difference in my weight.. My Basic Training was at Ft. Dix , NJ many many moons ago..lol Hugs! deb

    1. My brother did his Basic Training at Ft. Dix, NJ. He's a decorated Viet Nam vet. We took a family trip to see his graduation from Basic.
