The request for the Eldest's birthday cake was a Funfetti cake. Funfetti is a cake mix with colored candy sprinkles. Even better, the cake mix was strawberry and topped with a hot pink frosting with hot pink sparkling sugar. Pink is the Eldest's favorite color. Some things never change.
Some things do. All grown up and having a cup of blueberry coffee to go with her cake.

DeleteI am in love with that blueberry coffee, even if it isn't a dark roast. It sounds delicious. I'm not fond of strawberry anything, but since it's her cake and not mine, I will celebrate with her. Thanks for sharing your eldest daughter's favorite cake and coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.

DeleteIsn't it great to watch your kids grow up. It makes me wonder if my daughter still has her snoopy stuffed animal she used to adore. I will have to ask her. It sounds like you had a great party, and you must have been happy to have her home. Hope it was a great T day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteFunny that you mentioned the lovey. The Eldest brought her Lambie with her, and the Young One still has her well-loved dog, Jumper
DeleteNice how some things never change! And others do, the coffee sounds yummy! Happy belated T-Day.
ReplyDeleteYup, her wanting the kid cake made me smile
DeleteAdding in strawberries and having blueberry coffee totally makes is sound delish, CJ. So fun to have traditions like this with little grown up changes. My girls are just happy if I make a cake of any sort as it has been cookie cakes or ice cream cakes from Dairy Queen most their lives. Lol. Happy T-day. Hugz
ReplyDeleteSince the birthdays are in July, we've had ice cream cakes if it was too hot to bake.
DeleteHappy birthday to your eldest :)
ReplyDeleteI've not come across blueberry coffee, sounds intriguing.
All the best Jan
Thanks. She had a good day - CJ
DeleteOnce a 'pink' girl, always a 'pink' girl! The cake looks yummy (although it wouldn't be for me).
ReplyDeleteBlueberry coffee is something I have never come across. Oh, OK, I have just seen your comment to somebody else.
A Belated happy T-Day to you,
Hugs,
Lisca
