Whatcha Doin?

 

Himself, the Eldest, and I are taking a few days to travel to Lewiston, Maine to look for the Dropped Dead Murphys. It's a genealogy tour as we look for Himself's maternal great-grandfather and possibly his great, great grandfather, too. 

The Young One will be staying home to take care of the fur babies.

    Before the St. Louis conference, I spent a week in Missouri looking for my grandmother and her family. The small town genealogy society was the best resource and then the museum in the same town had all the old wills and land deeds. They showed me the boxes and left me to look for what I wanted. I lucked out that trip!

    I'm back after two days without internet. Sounds like an adventure. If you take advantage of historical and genealogy societies along the way, be sure to bring gloves. They will appreciate that you didn't get greasy paws on precious wills and other documents. Maybe I'm a bit late for that advice, though.
