The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. On the way home from the Dropped Dead Murphys tour, we had a delicious lunch at the Harrasakeet Lunch and Lobster Co. in Freeport, Maine.

2. We've been enjoying rewatching The Game of Thrones with the Eldest

3. We celebrated the Young One's birthday early as she will be spending her birthday in Ohio with her Young Man.

4. After dropping the Young One and her Young Man off at the airport, we stopped for brunch at IHOP on the way home.

5. The Eldest and I checked out The Jewels of the Nile exhibit at WAM. Then we had a late lunch at Panera.

How was your week?

    - Temps have backed off a little . Only 103 for the next week!
    - We have begun to install hubby's shop aircondition..
    - The Fish Painting is progressing nicely... Not too much left to do..
    - Gas prices are coming down a little...
    - Hubs and i had a wonderful date at the movies , even if the movie turned out not that great (Thor: Love and Thunder) too silly for us..

    1. We're at day 4 of a heatwave. Our temps are only in the 90s

I was hoping Thor: Love and Thunder would be as good as the first Thor movies

    2. No, it was made by the same director that did Thor:Ragnarok .. The director just goes for too much comedy.. A little was ok and i didn't mind Ragnarok but this one is over the top silly.. I wanted more superhero than comedy if you know what i mean... like the first two.. oh well..

  3. Nice week CJ. You've been busy and had some fun times with the girls. How was that Jewels of the Nile exhibit? I was the sign on my latest trip to Mom's and thought it might make a good afternoon stop after my visit.

  5. GoT is one I just couldn't get into -either the books or the tv series. I tried, and I'm not sure why I never could get into it. Your eating out treats sound like fun. Eating out elevates even a boring day :) and your days sound anything but boring. Good and better and time with family. Sweet :)

  6. Three of the five days had food mentioned and you didn't fix it! Lucky you. I looked at the exhibit at WAM and it looked lovely. Hope you both enjoyed it.

I have to look long and hard for anything exciting or fun this week. I guess the idea of 104 F, rather than 108 F over the weekend will be nice.

  7. I need to stick with Game of Thrones - still haven't gotten through the first three episodes but i know people really loved it and binged on it. I'm at Acorn a lot lately watching British detective stuff, ever since BlueBloods started charging for the new seasons...
