The Friday Five Good Things

Five good things that happened this week.

1. Enjoyed a nice thank you lunch at Point Breeze with Himself's teaching assistants

2. Himself's college roommate and his wife ran a half marathon over the weekend in Rhinebeck, NY. We met them for lunch at The 51 Park Restaurant in Lee, Massachusetts. Good food, lots of laughs

3. While driving through the Berkshires and admiring the foliage, we saw a bald eagle

4. I had a funny dream about my Ma. I was in a crowded place when I heard my name to "come over here". I saw her in her Persian lamb fur coat, but she was only 2 feet tall like a little doll. So very cute.

5. The operating system wouldn't update so had to do a reinstall and lost some accounting files. Tech support helped me get back on track.

    1. The eagle was magnificent. He flew very low over the highway so we got a real good look at him

  2. That is quite the coat in your photo. Was it really your mom's? And don't you love Lee? It is a great town. That's where I stayed this summer when I visited the area with my friend. Sounds like you had a great week. Hope you don't get too much rain today.

    1. That was my mom's beloved fur coat. Since nobody wears fur and the coat was never stored properly so it was ripped in the shoulders, I had the Young One make a stuffed Scottie dog out of it. Dad had given Ma a stuffed Scottie dog when they were first dating. We didn't get much of a chance to see the town. As our friends are from South Carolina and wanted to get on the road after we had lunch.

    1. You either found the mug in cupboard where it belonged in the first place or hidden in your studio/craft room

    1. Yup, that's what happened to me for months. There were several sites that had instructions to correct. I followed everything and still nothing. The last bit was to do a reinstall. You could choose wipe your computer and start again or wipe, but save personal files. I chose save files. For the most part it worked but it killed the accounting stuff.

  5. Both my husband's college roommate and my own have been dead for long years now, so that lunch sounds particularly sweet to me.

    1. Himself's college roommate and wife are really fun to be with. Himself doesn't have a lot of friends so I'm glad he's been able to keep this friendship
