Fun Facts About the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

In 2008, Rolling Rock, a balanced glacial boulder,  located in the city of Fall River, Massachusetts was designated as the official state rock.

  3. OK. A state rock eh? I know Plymouth Rock isn't much, but it is much more famous. I guess Plymouth can't get every accolade. Happy Saturday!

    1. Well, the real purpose is to show school children how laws and such are enacted as schools are the ones that propose things like state desserts, rocks, dinosaurs, etc.

  7. Y'all have an official state _everything_. I'm impressed, and I wish we'd move more in that direction. I think our last official state designation was for an official state rifle. Because of course it was :(
