Fun Facts About the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

In 1979, Rhodonite was selected as the state gemstone. The gem varies in color from light pink to deep rose.

  2. I don't know anything about rhodonite. In fact I haven't heard of it. But I like this cranberry color, which works with the state berry a lot. Happy weekend CJ! hugs-Erika

    1. A description of the mineral says its found with manganese. Our well is loaded with manganese. Maybe we also have a rhodonite mine!

  5. I know I'll never catch up, after the trial took up so much of October, but you find the most fascinating facts about MA. Never heard of rhodenite before but it is really pretty.
