Fun Facts About the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

 

In 1991 turkey became the state game bird. The state bird is the black-capped chickadee which was designated in 1941.

Best i can tell TX has no State Game Birds but the State Bird is Mockingbird... same as Arkansas the state i moved from a year ago.. Have a great day CJ!   2. Funny art piece. I think the Turkey was almost the National symbol, but then they chose the Bald Eagle.

  3. Fun turkey CJ. I love chickadees. Our state bird is the purple finch, which I did notice one at the feeders today. And all the chickadees were there. And I saw a bunch of turkeys today too. They are everywhere it seems. Do you see them often also? Hope it was a great Saturday. hugs-Erika

    1. We have herds of turkeys that come through the yard, usually in Spring.

  4. Good choices :) We see an occasional chickadee here but have to venture out from the city a bit to see turkeys.
