T Stands for Pumpkin Scones (a Starbucks copycat recipe)

I had a can of pumpkin in the pantry that was getting close to its use by date. I'm not a pumpkin pie fan. It's okay as pies go. I'd rather have a slice of cherry or apple pie. So what could I make?

While scrolling through the Interwebs, I found a recipe for Pumpkin Scones that supposedly taste just like the ones at Starbucks. I wouldn't know as I don't think I've had a pumpkin scone at Starbucks, but the ones I made from this recipe are amazing and very pretty, too.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  2. I'm not a fan of scones or of sweet pumpkin. I love pumpkin in soup! But a copycat recipe sounds like fun.

  3. Your scone does look yummy. Like you, I've never had a Starbucks pumpkin scone (or even a scone from them), but I'll take your word for it they taste good. They do look good that's for sure. Happy T day. Hope it's not too wet for you again today. hugs-Erika

  6. I have never had one of these Pumpkin Scones from Starbucks but I tried a copycat recipe many years ago and they were delicious as well. I didn't save it at the time but I have wanted to try it again. Now, I will give this one a try. Thanks for sharing.
    Happy Tea Day,

    1. This is the recipe for scones I use most. I've used Half n Half instead of the heavy cream, and the scones have turned out fine. I usually add raisins or craisins, too. Cream Tea Scones

  11. I adore scones, made them ONCE and they turned out OK. They were not as pretty as yours, which looked as great as the recipe you copied. In fact, yours could rival the lady's recipe you copied. Thanks for sharing your scones and your tea with us for T this Tuesday. And thanks for sharing the recipe, too.

  12. Pumpkin scones! Yum yum, the former premier of Queensland's wife used to be famous for her pumpkin scone recipe, fun fact lol. They certainly look the right colour, though normally we would just use some mashed pumpkin (we don't see the tinned stuff much here) So what do you put on your scone? Butter or something else? Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx

    1. This pumpkin scone was covered in icing so didn't need anything. For plain scones, I'm pretty much a plain Jane, and I don't put anything on them. Sometimes a bit of raspberry jam

    2. I've never had an iced scone before, interesting. Vegan spread and jam for me.

  15. I love the look of your scones and the recipe looks easy enough, although I would need to make my own puree. Belated T Day wishes, hugs, Chrisx
