I had a can of pumpkin in the pantry that was getting close to its use by date. I'm not a pumpkin pie fan. It's okay as pies go. I'd rather have a slice of cherry or apple pie. So what could I make?
While scrolling through the Interwebs, I found a recipe for Pumpkin Scones that supposedly taste just like the ones at Starbucks. I wouldn't know as I don't think I've had a pumpkin scone at Starbucks, but the ones I made from this recipe are amazing and very pretty, too.

Pyszne ciasto do kawy.
ReplyDeleteThe scone would make a delicious cake for coffee, too. Dzien dobry!
DeleteI'm not a fan of scones or of sweet pumpkin. I love pumpkin in soup! But a copycat recipe sounds like fun.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I don't think I've had pumpkin soup.
DeleteYour scone does look yummy. Like you, I've never had a Starbucks pumpkin scone (or even a scone from them), but I'll take your word for it they taste good. They do look good that's for sure. Happy T day. Hope it's not too wet for you again today. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIt's not raining now, but it's very wet and foggy outside
DeleteNot a pumpkin fan at all. But do have a pumpkin cream cheese that I bake.
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting
DeleteI'm usually not a fan of scones but yours looks very enticing!
ReplyDeleteIt was yummy
DeleteI have never had one of these Pumpkin Scones from Starbucks but I tried a copycat recipe many years ago and they were delicious as well. I didn't save it at the time but I have wanted to try it again. Now, I will give this one a try. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
This recipe was very easy, looks pretty, and tastes mmm, good.
DeleteYummm pumpkin scones. I will have to try this one. Have a very nice day today.
ReplyDeleteI like the recipe. It wasn't too fussy
DeleteThe scones look good, but I prefer things like soup to the sweet stuff! Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try pumpkin soup
DeleteI love everything pumpkin and those scones look so yummy, very pretty icing too 😊. Thanks for sharing and wishing you a very happy T Day! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteThe scones turned out great
DeleteI'm not a fan of pumpkin anything but really do want to try a scone recipe. I'm not sure why I never have...
ReplyDeleteThis is the recipe for scones I use most. I've used Half n Half instead of the heavy cream, and the scones have turned out fine. I usually add raisins or craisins, too. Cream Tea Scones
DeleteI adore scones, made them ONCE and they turned out OK. They were not as pretty as yours, which looked as great as the recipe you copied. In fact, yours could rival the lady's recipe you copied. Thanks for sharing your scones and your tea with us for T this Tuesday. And thanks for sharing the recipe, too.
ReplyDeleteThe recipe was pretty easy to follow
DeletePumpkin scones! Yum yum, the former premier of Queensland's wife used to be famous for her pumpkin scone recipe, fun fact lol. They certainly look the right colour, though normally we would just use some mashed pumpkin (we don't see the tinned stuff much here) So what do you put on your scone? Butter or something else? Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteThis pumpkin scone was covered in icing so didn't need anything. For plain scones, I'm pretty much a plain Jane, and I don't put anything on them. Sometimes a bit of raspberry jam
DeleteI've never had an iced scone before, interesting. Vegan spread and jam for me.
DeleteOh, my goodness! Thanks for the heads up about the recipe! Happy T day.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome
DeleteLOL, sorry I am late, but I have pumpkins, too. Hope you ate yours for in case you wanna pop by!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit you!
DeleteI love the look of your scones and the recipe looks easy enough, although I would need to make my own puree. Belated T Day wishes, hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI'm a lazy cook so used canned pumpkin
