How Does Your Garden Grow?

There's a change of season in the air. The swamp maple out front is losing its leaves. I think it's a bit early. Himself says no. Either way, things feel tired. Maybe it's just me because I'm dragging feeling like a cold is coming on.

The only thing that hasn't slowed down is the activity at the bird feeder. Birds have been coming and going like airplanes at a major airport.

How does your garden grow?

  4. Love that you found a cardinal at your feeder, but please don't let that cold fester. We don't want the little princess to get sick!

  5. Leaves are starting to come down here in CT. They haven't changed colors, they're just dropping off like they've dried up. They're the precursor to the rest of the leaves starting to change color and drop, which I don't think happens until October. I hope you aren't coming down with a cold. I can't tell if that's a shadow on your squirrel baffle, or something took a bite out of it. :-) The temperatures have been perfect, though, haven't they? (Although I think you might've said you prefer Summer temperatures. I love Spring and Fall best.) There's definitely a change of seasons feeling in the air now, and has been that way for about two weeks now.

    1. The squirrel baffle has a bite taken out of it. I think Timex (chipmunk) did it. Timex climbs up the pole flips through the bite and ip to the feeder. The squirrels haven’t figured out the could squeak through the hole

  6. I love bird watching:)
Hope you're taking plenty of Vit C and keeping that cold at bay.
Thanks for the well wishes. The storm completely passed us by.

  7. Today really feels like fall. I think it has arrived early. I always remember having warm weather the first few weeks of school but definitely not this year. My bird feeder hasn't been too busy lately, but if it stays this chilly I think that will change. Happy new week. hugs-Erika

    1. It always seemed back to school weather got really hot for the first two weeks. Definitely not this year which for the teachers and kids with no AC may not be a bad thing.
