T Stands for Birthday Celebration

When you were a kid did you have the giant 64 box of Crayola crayons with the sharpener in the back? I did. The crayon box was one of my favorite things.

Divers and Sundry told me that Crayola is celebrating the 64th anniversary with a special birthday box of the crayons. Not only the regular crayons, but the "crayons included, you will find all your favorite colors and 8 special effect Confetti Crayons, which have specks of color inside for surprising streaks and a party in every crayon! "

If the big box wasn't enough of an excuse to get a new box of crayons, the confetti crayons are the icing on the cake.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  1. LOL. I have rather bad memories. Amognst other I was sent to a kids-camp to gain weight. Not only was I super-shy, my parents were the only ones who stuck to the rule: No birthday presents. Two other kids got pressies from the parents and from the kid´s home coloring book and those crayons.
I got the book and the crayons...

But you enjoy yours - happy T-Day :-)

  3. I loved crayons. In fact, I realized eventually that the crayon colors were my ideal model of what “real” colors were, starting with the 8-crayon list of red-orange-yellow-green-blue-violet-black-brown and continuing up to 64, the most colors that could ever exist. I’ll have to look at that new box. (I don’t think they ever used the word purple despite the book about Harold).

  4. I didn't know crayola was celebrating an anniversary. I was getting their emails for their sales online but they have really raised the dollar amount to get free shipping now. so I stopped getting those.
I love their crayons too and most of their products. The last big box I bought had their new color blue in it.
have fun using them Happy T

  6. Wow, such a great brand but I wouldn't have guessed Crayola were that old though 😊. Seems I've missed lots of crafting, weekly updates and happy mail - I think Calico was surprised to see all that snow and how lovely to welcome spring with those beautiful crocus flowering in your yard. Glad you've been having fun and thanks so much for all your kind comments on my blog posts. Wishing you a wonderful April! Hugs, Jo x

  7. I was thrilled when that box was under my tree. Although the box eventually died, I'm thinking my cigar box crayon box currently has a few remnants of the original crayons :)

(Thanks for the hat tip :) )

    Happy T Tuesday!

  10. The largest box I ever got was 48 Crayola crayons. I also was given a box of eight with silver running through them. They are so hard, the color is practically non-existent. They are also larger in diameter, but the same length. I look forward to seeing what you find in your local town, too.

Thanks for sharing your "Ink" mug of tea and the crayons with us for T this Tuesday, dear CJ.

BTW, sorry you don't have a Hobby Lobby near you. I have only been to this one once and it was HUGE!!!
