T Stands for Bird Rolls

Easter Sunday, I was feeling better and decided I would make rolls to go along with dinner. I had seen a recipe for rolls shaped like birds and thought that would be fun. Bird Bread Rolls

I thought they looked cute. Himelf thought they looked like manatees. Either way, they tasted delicious.

A bird roll with Easter dinner: roast leg of lamb with mint jelly, sweet potato, green beans, and ice tea for my beverage.

Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog to find out what the rest of the T Stands For gang is up to. If you want to play, include in your Tuesday post a beverage or container for a beverage. Don't forget to link your blog to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's page.

  3. I like your bird rolls CJ. I can't quite see manatee though. Smile. They were still fun for Easter dinner and as long as they taste good that's all that really matters. hugs-Erika

    1. Lamb for Easter was a tradition from my family. Fortunately, Himself didn't mind being assimilated. (Resistance would have been futile anyway.) 😺

    2. It was tradition in our house too....and I tried to assimilate Husband in the first few years (standing rib roast and Yorkshire pudding for Christmas too) but I couldn't stand the comments so I gave up! 🤷

    3. I would still have made the roast leg of lamb and made him a ham sandwich. 😺

  5. The bird rolls look like a fun treat! I remember a turtle bread recipe the kids used to make when they were little. It did actually look like a turtle, which never got old. Happy T Tuesday

  16. Those were really clever rolls, CJ. I like them a LOT. Thanks for sharing them and your iced tea with us for T this week. I saw a show awhile back about a rack of lamb that was first rolled in seasonings and panco that had been heated in a skillet, then cooked in the oven for about an hour. When cooled, the rack was cut and each lamb chop was served as part of a meal. Apparently, the hosts were trying to prove lamb can be served on a weeknight, not just on Easter!

    1. That recipe sounds good. I cooked a bone in leg of lamb as Himself couldn't find boneless
