Five good things that happened this week.
1. We ate dinner out and then had fun visit with Grandmaster E. and Master Beef
2. The Eldest sent Easter Greetings. She's still waiting to hear where her next assignment will be.
3.No more weekly visits to Dr. J for my tooth. No inflammation, no infection. Healing is taking place, even if it's a slow process
4. We renewed our library licenses, and we got a hair cut
5. Beautiful day with temps in the 80s. I finished up at the museum early so walked up to WPI. I got an iced tea at Dunkin's sat outside in the shade waiting for Himself's class to finish. Flowering trees in bloom, lots of young people going here and there, and fun robotic cooler chests running food and packages to students.
How was your week?
It's been a lovely week, hasn't it? I'm enjoying it before the black flies come out-hopefully not for another couple of weeks so I can finish up some outside chores-smile. You sound like you had a nice week. Enjoy this summer like day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to another warm day so I can clean the front porch and start the sunroom
DeleteSounds like a good week. I wondered what that little robot thing was. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe robots were cute and fun watching them zip up and down the hill and around the campus
DeleteSounds good. I have never seen those robots in real life, what fun! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThe robots are really cute. The ones on campus seemed to work in pairs so fun to see them stop and "talk" to each other
DeleteI can only join with #5 - the tree in front shows a tiiiiny bit of blooming!
ReplyDeleteCute robot. I want one!
The robots were adorable.
DeleteTemp in the 80's! Yay! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt was heaven. Another nice day today before normal temps, and rainy move in for the weekend.

DeleteSounds a good week and your temperatures sound high.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
All the best Jan
Yup, more like mid-July and not April
DeleteSounds like a nearly perfect week. Hope recovery isn't as slow as you predict.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to comment on that robot. First, I didn't realize how small it was at first until a human came into view. What initially impressed me were the wheels that will go up and down steps. I was thinking how incredibly handy that could be for those in wheelchairs. Then I realized the weight and mass of the robot would allow those wheels, while a human sitting in a metal wheelchair would need wheels that were exponentially larger and/or heavier.
I've suddenly been thinking about disabled persons in wheelchairs and how so many new homes are NOT wheelchair accessible. One that comes to mind is the new 2023 HGTV Dream Home. It's a dream home ONLY if you like climbing stairs all day, whether you are outside or inside.
Even older homes are not wheelchair accessible, either. The Dollhouse was built early 1960s. The front door is only 32 inches wide. No way a wheelchair could get in the bathroom
DeleteI should have acknowledged that older homes are even less conducive to wheelchair accessibility. Oftentimes, parts of walls must be removed to widen doors of older homes, which can be as or even more expensive than moving into a new disable ready home. As for kitchens and baths, they are the worst. Oftentimes, sinks in baths and kitchens must be lowered and the area under the sink must be cleared so the wheelchair can fit underneath. And cabinets must either be lowered or there must be a way to lower them so the wheelchair bound person can reach the plates, bowls, cups, and drinking glasses.
DeleteTemps in the 80s is warmer than here. We're expecting more rain storms tonight :( I'm glad your tooth is healing nicely.
ReplyDeleteYour rain is expected here tomorrow into Monday. Warm temps. short lived as weather returns to cool which is seasonal for this area
