Last week, we went to the Eldest's favorite coffee place to get what I call La-Di-Dahs. Fancy beverages specifically coffee.
The Eldest likes flavored coffees. Her favorite is a Starbucks' Cafe Mocha with Raspberry Syrup. She said the barista adds 2 pumps of raspberry syrup, but you can ask for more.
The Young One doesn't drink coffee and ordered a Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream.
My go to treat at Starbucks is a Chai Latte served hot. I don't like it served iced.
We did a buy and fly and went back home. We paired our drinks with brownies studded with M&M candies I had made.
If you Starbucks, what's your favorite La-di-dah?
Drop by hosts, Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s blog to find out what the rest of the T gang is up to. If you want to play, include a beverage or beverage container in your post. Don’t forget to link your blog from Bleubeard and Elizabeth’s page.
I'm not a Starbucks friend, here they charge twice as much as 'normal' places. I'm not fond of flavoured coffee either. BUT your brownies look divine! Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe brownies were made from a mix 😺
DeleteThe brownie looks fab! I love Starbucks but don't get it often. I stick with the iced or hot caramel macchiato. Fun treats. Happy T-day and Happy New Year, CJ. Hugz
ReplyDeleteWe don't go often because of the expense, but when we do fun treats
DeleteMix or not the brownies look better than the snacks that Starbucks sells! I haven't had a Starbucks in ages. Maybe it's time -- or will be when the current contagion emergency ends.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I didn't get a look at what they offered for baked goods.
DeleteI like it that way .... Chai served hot. Anything less than piping hot is a strict no no for me.
ReplyDeletetheir drinks are always served molten
DeleteThat brownie looks yummy and the colored M&Ms make it festive. Yummy. And based on your comment, I'm curious how you treat your water. We use bleach and a settling tank, but our water is still never 100% clear. It is coming out of the tap, but you can tell in the white dog water bowls and the toilets that it isn't because they get a light stain on them. Happy T day. hugs-Erika

DeleteI have never been a Starbucks fan, a bit too pricey for me but a really nice treat for you and your daughters
ReplyDeleteYour brownies look delicious. Happy T wishes
We don't go often, but it was a fun treat
DeleteSalted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino! But they don't offer it anymore by me....which I prefer to think of as a good thing since it's not exactly a health drink! LOL :-/
ReplyDeletethat's why it makes such a wonderful treat
DeleteCaramel frappuccino - yes, with cream :) when it isn't winter outside.
ReplyDeleteI might get a hot chocolate in winter, however I think the ones I make at home taste better (with added Bailey's).
Your Bailey's hot chocolate sounds a lot better
DeleteI do hot tea when I do Starbucks, but I'm wanting to try that raspberry. I may look at getting some raspberry syrup for home.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday!
The Eldest likes her Keurig and van Houtten makes a Raspberry Chocolate Coffee K-Cup. I used to be able to find them at Walmart, but they don't seem to carry them anymore. I order from Amazon. Gloria Jean is another brand, too.
DeleteI haven't been in a Starbucks for a while since I have given up coffee, but I did like their cold brew, that was delicious. Warm Winter Wishes and Happy New Year T Day Elle/EOTC xx
ReplyDeleteCold brew reminds me of iced tea. Only 167 days until the First Day of Summer.
Deleteooh your chai latte would be my choice, but we don't go to Starbucks and only buy coffee when we're out for a meal. Your brownies are a real nice treat with the M & Ms. Happy New Year and happy T day!
ReplyDeleteM&Ms added to be festive
DeleteI haven't been to Starbucks since - well, the start of the pandemic. I don't go there too often in the first place, but when I do I either have a toffee nut latte or a sweet cream cold brew (depends on the season).
ReplyDeleteHappy T day and Happy New Year to you!
Toffee Nut Latte sounds good
DeleteWe don't have Starbucks here except in the big cities perhaps (I don't know), but there is one at Malaga airport and on a few occasions we splashed out on a coffee. (yes, it's very expensive) but on each occasion I have not been able to drink it because it was too sweet. I like a mocha and I also like a chai latte. I haven't tried any of the others. And never tried flavoured coffees.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day,
Stay safe,
Hugs,
Lisca
I don't like things that are too sweet, either
Deletehappy 2022 to you and yours CJ; here's to happy and healthy ♥♥
ReplyDeleteanda happee mew yeer calli and quill; eat much trout ;) ☺☺♥♥
The ole laydee onlee letz uz eet chiken becuz Ink wuz lerjic to seefoodz
DeleteFun. The brownies looked good. I like the iced mocha with half a pump instead of the full amount.
ReplyDeleteWhen we went to the vineyards I tried a hot chocolate with port. It was a tad rich for me. I drank about an eight of it;)
I'm now officially hooked on the hot spiced cinnamon tea. I have a cup or two every day:)
That cinnamon tea is the best!
DeleteLooks delicious - those brownies. My favorite coffee is a dark roast...i can't think of the brand, but we get it at Aldi's . The darker the better.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have an Aldi's near us
DeleteToo bad - their prices are really really good and such fresh fruits and veggies and ...everything.
DeleteI don't like Starbucks anymore but back in the day I would get a chai latte. Yummy! Your brownie looks delicious. It's nice to have a treat out every now and then.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Treats because of the holidays and the girlies were both home
DeleteI've never been in a Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteI've just made myself a nice cup of tea which I am enjoying while blogging :)
Hope the New Year has started well.
All the best Jan
Venti skinny caramel macchiato upside down with a little bit of whip...lol Its the only thing i order at starbucks and its hot too.. don't care for cold coffee.. If my coffee gets cold i put it in the microwave... :) Sounds like a great visit! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI microwave my tea all day long if it's tepid
DeleteSorry I'm late visiting. As by now you know I had no internet or phone since last Monday, and now I'm in catch up mode. Starbucks gave me containers of French Roast coffee for a couple of my National Night Out community functions. The one in my neighborhood wouldn't but the one across town was more than happy to contribute. It is STRONG, even stronger than I normally drink it. I needed a LOT of 1/2 and 1/2 to cut the rather bitter taste. Other than that, at $4.50 a cup (last time I was in their store), I'll save my money and buy French Roast at Sam's where I can buy beans and grind it as needed myself. Thanks for sharing your T and brownies with us for T this week, CJ. Glad the eldest got her drink.
ReplyDeleteWe had fun sharing her favorite treat spot
